In the End, Lace Shorts

Never say never! Although I once said (I even wrote a comment about it) that it was very difficult that I wore lace shorts, I succumbed to the temptation! Maybe it was because I saw many inspirational versions about how to wear them or because I found a pair that wasn’t too short and tight (no need to show off my full legs...). What do you think about this trend? Like or dislike?

Quizás fueran las distintas versiones que me habían inspirado o que encontrara unos pantalones ni muy cortos, ni muy pegados (que ya no estamos para lucir tanto...). ¿Qué te parece esta tendencia? ¿Te gusta o disgusta?

Flowers and Stripes

I really don't know if it is a trend (and if it is, maybe is more than old), but I call it “the trend of mixing flowers and stripes”. And I love it! For me, an austere girl, who only have plain garments (without a tiny pattern) the stripes are something flamboyant… and if you coordinate them with flowers, then it is TOTAL! Here some examples…

Realmente no sé si se trata de una tendencia (y quizás está ya más que pasada), pero yo lo llamo “la tendencia de combinar flores y rayas”. ¡Y me encanta! Para mi, una chica austera que solamente tiene prendas lisas (sin ni siquiera un pequeño dibujo) las rayas son algo llamativo… y si lo combinas con flores, entonces es TOTAL. Aquí te dejo unos ejemplos…

Shanghai, the last

And finally, my special Shanghai tips:

-         Walk and walk if the area is very interesting, but if it is not, take a taxi! They are cheap and you can keep your energy for the good places.

-         Get a massage! The best way to relax and revive your poor legs and feet. They are plenty of places, but I love Dragonfly, a cozy urban retreat specializing relaxing massage and beauty treatments for busy-stressed men and women.

-         Take a night drink (or more) at one of the glamorous bars at The Bund. No matter if it is quite expensive… the moment will be magical! A good option is the terrace at brand new The Swatch Art Peace Hotel or if the weather is not good, better to go to The Glamour Bar.

-         Climb up to the sky! You’ll never find so many opportunities: the Oriental Pearl Tower, the World Financial Center, the Jinmao Tower… The view is really AMAZING!

-         Taste the local food. You don’t need to be a super adventurer and eat crunchy fried worm or roasted pigeon (although my husband did it, but it was my fault because I made a mistake when ordering…), but you can try a nice restaurant with yummy  dishes (and not so risky)

-         Take thousand of pictures, they are free! If you see something interesting or someone that attracts your attention…click! Perhaps you don’t come back to Shanghai never again and this would be a nice way to remember your trip (when you will be old and without any forces to rush around the world).

Y para acabar, mis consejos especiales para Shanghai:

-         Camina y camina, pero solamente si la zona es interesante, si no, ¡coge un taxi! Son baratos y deberás guardar tus energías para los sitios chulos (por los que tendrás que caminar)

-         ¡Date un masaje! Es la mejor manera de relajarte y reanimar tus pobres piernas y pies. Hay muchos lugares, pero mi preferido es Dragonfly, un espacio muy acogedor especializado en masajes y tratamientos de belleza para los estresados hombres y mujeres de Shanghai (ahora tú ya eres uno de ellos!)

-         Tómate una copa (o más) en uno de los glamorosos bares que se encuentran en The Bund. No importa que sea un poco caro… el momento será mágico! Una buena opción es la terraza del novísimo The Swatch Art Peace Hotel o si el tiempo no acompaña, mejor ir al The Glamour Bar.

-         ¡Sube hasta el cielo! Nunca vas a encontrar tantas oportunidades juntas: The Oriental Pearl Tower, the World Financial Center, the Jinmao Tower… ¡Las vistas son ESPECTACULARES!

-         Prueba la comida local. No es necesario que seas una superaventurer@ y te dediques a comer gusanos fritos o palomas rustidas (mi marido sí lo hizo, pero es que me equivoqué al pedir el plato…), pero puedes experimentar con algún restaurante chulo con platos apetecibles (y no taaaan arriesgados).

-         Tira miles de fotos ¡que son gratis! Si ves alguna cosa interesante, alguna persona que te llama la atención… click! Igual no vuelves a Shanghai nunca más en toda tu vida, por lo que tener fotos será una manera divertida de recordar tu viaje (cuando seas viejecit@ y no tengas fuerzas para ir trotando por el mundo).

bracelets and more bracelets

Una de las tendencias que más me gusta es la de llevar mil y una pulseras al mismo tiempo. Normalmente se trata de pulseras sencillas, artesanas, tipo “friendship” que se combinan con otras más vistosas e incluso lujosas. Y claro, ya me he “fabricado” unas cuantas (en la primera foto puedes verlas junto con la pulsera grande de “Bimba y Lola”).  Ahora te dejo mis inspiraciones…

One of the trends that I really love is to mix and wear lots of bracelets at the same time. Usually, these bracelets are simple, handcrafted, friendship style and you can mix with more spectacular or luxury ones. And, of course, I already make mines (at first picture you can see mines mixed with the bigger that is from “Bimba y Lola”). Now I leave you my inspirations…
