Nails We Love...

I've been many years wearing soft and boring nail lacquers, but about three years before I discovered the exciting world of the COLOR for nails. And I couldn't stop since then... This summer you have to try some of these gorgeous proposals that all the cosmetic brands offer you (see Opi, Essie, Kiko, etc) Meanwhile, I show you some of my loving inspirations (and you can see how a good manicure add the final touch to any outfit).

Durante muchos años he llevado las uñas de colores suaves y aburridos, pero hace unos tres años descubrí el maravilloso mundo del COLOR. Y desde entonces, que no he parado... Este verano tienes que probar con alguna de las preciosas sugeencias que todas las marcas de cosmética te ofrecen (mira Opi, Essie, Kiko, etc). Mientras, te dejo mis más queridas inspiraciones (y puedes ver como una buena manicura añade el toque final a cualquier outfit).

pop up stores

As I told you long time ago, I like to visit many pop up stores as I can (see my older post here). Maybe because although they are totally ephemeral (usually with a short length) they are made with lot of imagination and less seriousness than “regular” shops. At Igualada, a town near my village, they celebrate the REC, a pop up store meeting two times per year. During 3 days you get mad shopping and choosing from lot of products at reduced prices (they sell as outlet) at the same time that you spend a nice evening with your friends, taking a free beer and listening some live music.

And, as a follower from their first edition, I couldn’t miss this time. Then, I went with my gorgeous friend Miriam (and our respective husbands) to see what was brewing there…

Quizás recordarás que hace tiempo te comenté que me encantaba visitar las tiendas pop up (puedes echar un vistazo a un antiguo post aquí). Quizás sea porque, a pesar de ser totalmente efímeras (y normalmente de corta vida), están hechas con mucha imaginación y menor seriedad que las tiendas “normales”. En Igualada, una ciudad cercana a mi pueblito, celebran el REC, un meeting de tiendas pop up dos veces al año. Durante tres días, puedes volverte loca comprando a precios de outlet y al mismo tiempo pasar una tarde agradable con tus amigos, tomando una cerveza (gratis) y escuchando música en directo. Y como seguidora desde su primera edición, no me lo podía perder! Así, quedé con mi guapísima amiga Miriam (y nuestros respectivos maridos) para acercarnos a ver que se estaba cociendo…

flowers & fruits

Some days ago we went to visit Girona at their annual flower exhibition. During the week, all the best buildings, patios and streets of the city are poured out with flowers and Art (more info here).

Hace unos días fuimos a visitar la exposición anual de flores de Girona. Durante una semana, los mejores edificios, patios y calles de la ciudad son invadidos por las flores y el Arte (más info aquí).

 Then, afther having lunch at the cute "Crêperie bretonne" (I adore the "crêpe bergère" with goat cheese and scallion), we begun to walk and walk, exploring the narrow streets for more than 4 hours...

 Así, después de almorzar en la coqueta "Crêperie bretonne" (adoro su "crêpe bergère" de queso de cabra y cebollino), empezamos nuestra larga andadura por las callejuelas del casco antiguo durante más de 4 horas...

Last sunday I was resting at home (after all past weeks travelling around I really need it) when I saw that my silvester strawberries were ready to pick and with all the harvest (around 15 sweetie pieces!) I baked two strawberry tarts with cream (following that recipe). 

Este domingo estaba descansando en casa (después de estas semanas viajando realmente lo necesitaba) cuando en el jardín vi que mis fresas salvajes estaban a punto para coger  y con la cosecha (unas 15 fresas!) cociné unas tartaletas de fresas con crema pastelera (siguiendo esta receta).
