Although we will not celebrate Valentine’s day (reason one: my husband is working 600km away and reason two: we follow the catalan tradition of St. George’s day as the day of the lovers, when we give books and roses to our loving ones) I adoooore this day! Then, I would like to show you some inspirations as my homage to the sweetest day of the calendar…

last weekend

Because the weather forecast wasn’t very good (we were in the middle of a cold spell, with frozen temperatures) last weekend we decided to stay at home. Although I looove to lie down at bed, just staring at my ceiling and thinking, my beloved husband always needs to do something! Then, I have to pretend that I want to do something too… And in our way to find something to do indoors, we finally painted our bedroom (do you remember my post about grey rooms?)

Como el tiempo no estaba muy bueno (ya sabes que estuvimos en medio de una ola de frío intenso), decidimos no salir de casa en todo el fin de semana. Y aunque a mi me encanta quedarme tumbada en la cama, mirando el techo y pensando en mis cosas, mi querido marido no puede parar y siempre tiene que hacer algo! Y claro, entonces también tengo que hacer ver que quiero hacer algo… Pues bueno, puestos a hacer, finalmente pintamos nuestro dormitorio (¿recuerdas mi post sobre dormitorios grises?)

But, it took only Saturday morning, then I still had time to finish some new jewelry stuff for this new season. Outside was snowing, but my heart wanted spring and sun and bright colors!

Pero como esto no nos llevó más que la mañana del sábado, aún tuve tiempo de acabar algunas joyitas para la nueva temporada. ¡Fuera nevando y mi corazón me pedía primavera, sol y colores brillantes!

On Sunday I cooked a yummy lunch for my parents with risotto and a stunning “tarte tatin”. I like this tart very much, but I never tried to cook by myself because I tought it would be very difficult…No way! It is quite simple and so exquisite!!

El domingo invité a mis padres a comer y les cociné un risotto y una super tarta tatin. Me encanta este postre, pero nunca lo había hecho, pensando que sería muy difícil…Que va! Es muy fácil y taaaan buena!

And, after a relaxing “siesta” I took a loooong time blogging. And then, I found the new commercial for H&M and Marni. It is directed by Sofia Coppola and, as all the things she does, I adore it! And the collection is so gorgeous…this time I would not mind to queue to get something!

Y por la tarde, nada como una buena siesta y bloguear a mis anchas! Y fue en un blog donde descubrí el nuevo anuncio de Sofia Coppola para H&M y Marni. Si es que todo lo que hace esta chica me encanta!! Y los vestidos… esta vez no me importará hacer cola para conseguir alguno!

different hotels

If I could, I'd looove to live in a hotel. I would like to have my bed ready each night, with brand new sheets and fresh towels (I know that you are thinking that it is not very ecological, but don’t worry, because I do NOT live in one!).

Si pudiera viviría en un hotel. Me encantaría tener la cama lista para estrenar cada noche y las toallas nuevas cada vez que me duchase (sí, ya sé que estás pensando que es muy poco ecológico, pero no te preocupes, porque de todas maneras, NO vivo en uno!).

But now, I’d like to show you a different kind of hotel, not traditional or classical. These are examples about how you can build a hotel almost everywhere…
Can you think about a hotel up at the tree? Well, it exists! You can find one at Sant Hilari Sacalm (near Barcelona) and another at Harads (Sweden), where you can even sleep intside a birdnest or inside an UFO landed right at unspoiled nature. I can imagine myself, in the middle of the forest, just thinking, relaxing and listening to the birds…

Pero hoy te quiero enseñar unos hoteles “distintos” (otro día podemos repasar los más convencionales). Estos son ejemplos de cómo puede existir un hotel en casi cualquier sitio del mundo…

¿Te imaginas un hotel en un árbol? Pues sí, existe! De hecho, he encontrado uno aquí cerca, en Sant Hilari Sacalm y otro en Harads (Suecia) donde puedes dormir dentro de un nido o incluso en un ovni aterrizado en plena naturaleza (treehotel.se). Es el tipo de alojamiento perfecto para un retiro espiritual. Ya me veo, en medio del bosque, escuchando los pajaritos, relajándome viendo la puesta de sol…

 

  

 

On the other hand, it would be very original to spend a long weekend in a gitane caravan… I can see my friends and I, with lot of wine (they drink a lot, not me!), music and a big camp fire dancing under the stars…

Aunque también es una idea original y divertida disfrutar de la vida nómada pasando un fin de semana en una caravana gitana…Ya me imagino con mis amigos, montando una superfiesta con vino, música y una gran fogata!

 

But if I want to celebrate a romantic getaway, I would choose a charming péniche (barge) at Canal du Midi, in south of France. These barges have all the conveniences and they are a different way to discover the surrounding vineyards and villages from the river…

Pero si pienso en una escapada romántica, me apetecería más pasar unos días en una péniche (barcaza fluvial) en el Canal du Midi, en el sur de Francia. Estos barcos cuentan con todas la comodidades y ofrecen una manera distinta de descubrir la zona desde el río…
